Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones WasaPlus uses and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language, and allow services like advertising and analytics to work. Similar technologies, such as local storage, are covered by this policy too.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
These are needed for the site to function and to keep it secure, for example to remember your cookie consent choice or to protect our contact form from spam. They cannot be switched off in our systems.
Preference cookies
These remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as your selected language and whether you prefer the light or dark theme. We also use local browser storage to remember your app rating vote and your cookie-notice choice. They do not track you across other websites.
Advertising cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad and to measure ad performance. You can manage personalized ads at Google Ads Settings and learn more at Google's advertising policies. You can also opt out via www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Analytics cookies
If we use analytics, we may use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to understand how visitors use the site, such as which guides are read most, so we can improve our content. The information is aggregated and not used to identify you.
Your consent
Where required (in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) before personalized ads are shown. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Privacy and cookie settings" option shown by that consent tool, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
US state privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Under some US state privacy laws, personalized advertising may count as "sharing" personal information. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings and, where supported, with the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. We do not sell personal information for money.
How to disable cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data (or Block all cookies).
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
- Mobile browsers: look for Privacy or Site settings in the browser menu.
