About WasaPlus

Who we are

WasaPlus is run by a small, independent editorial team of Android enthusiasts and tech writers. We have been following the WhatsApp modding scene for years, from the early days of WhatsApp Plus to today's actively maintained GBWhatsApp and OBWhatsApp builds. Along the way we have also documented mods that are now discontinued or paid, such as FMWhatsApp, YoWhatsApp, Aero and Abo2sadam, so readers know what happened to them and where to go next.

Our goal is simple: to give readers clear, practical and honest information so they can make their own decisions. That includes explaining what these apps can do, how to install and update them, and, just as importantly, the risks involved.

What we do

• Publish detailed guides on popular WhatsApp mods, including features, installation and updates.
• Keep version information, file sizes and requirements up to date for each app we cover.
• Write tutorials on backups, themes, colors, safety, PC and iPhone questions.
• Compare mods side by side so readers can pick the one that fits their needs.
• Warn clearly about ban risks, fake APKs and privacy concerns.

How we test

We install and use the apps we write about on secondary test devices with secondary phone numbers, never on our personal accounts. Before publishing or updating a page, we check that the file installs correctly, go through the main settings and features and scan the APK with multiple antivirus engines.

These checks reduce the chance of problems but cannot eliminate them. Mods are modified by third-party developers and can change at any time, which is why we never describe any mod as "100% safe" or "ban-proof".

Editorial principles

• Honesty first: we explain the downsides, not just the features.
• No invented numbers: we do not publish made-up download counts, user statistics or fake reviews.
• Useful over flashy: every guide should help you actually do something.
• Regular updates: we revise pages when new versions or new risks appear.
• Independence: no developer pays us to rank or recommend their app.

Independence and affiliation

WasaPlus is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. We are also not the developers of the mods we cover. The site is funded by advertising, which never influences our editorial opinions.
